This recording project is essentially a distorted and dissonant dedication to my favorite minimalist composer Steve Reich. I borrow from Reich's use of repetition of simple ideas (these ideas can be simple melodically, rhythmically, or both), however, I repeat them in hyper - specific repetitions that could only be performed by a sampler. Once I play a simple line into the sampler, I choose at what rate to repeat and how many different repetitions happen at once. This is an auditory love letter to Reich but through a dark and atmospheric lens.

This is a solo work. Recorded between January 2022 and November 2022.
